Trust the Potter

How many times have we prayed for God to allow us to have more faith?

I know I have prayed that many times, and honestly, I think it's going to just "poof" happen and then rejoice in what God has done.  For us to grow in faith means that we will be stretched ( to extend in length, to pull, strain)so that faith can go to a higher level.  As we read the definition of stretch we see that it's not a joy ride.  It is painful and tiring and it takes you to a place you've never been before.  I have recently gone through the stretching of my faith.

It started off with a prayer and then I had to step out in obedence which is not a new thing, but God has taken me through this time of stretching and it's been exciting, scary, tiring, painful, hopeful, and amazing to see God work and how He wants to do bigger things in all our lives.  God is greater than we can ever imagine and He is looking for those who will trust him to do greater things in our lives, but we first have to be obedient to the call to step forward and then to trust Him to stretch us to the point we think we will break but in His mercy and kindness we don't break in half and fall; we break out of that mustard seed faith into that mustard tree faith.  All I can say is I want to do all God has called me to do and it's much more than I ever thought or imagined because we serve a BIG God who is ready to do GREAT BIG things.  He does this through willing vessels who say "Ok, I trust you enough to get back on that potters wheel and allow you to do as you will to make me into what you had in mind when you created me".  Trust the potter, don't short change yourself, it's worth it!!

God Bless you and keep you.
