Are You Sharp?

Written by Administrator. Posted in Articles

It is so good to be able to pass on to you what the Lord pours into me.  It says in the word that we are to pour out "living water."  With that said, i will share what the Holy Spirit pointed out to me.  In Deuteronomy 6 Moses was telling the people the requirements of the blessings of God.  In verse 6 it says: "And these words which I am commanding you this day shall be (first) in your (own) minds and hearts; (then) Verse 7 You shall 'whet' (remember this word) and sharpen so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon your minds and hearts".

I will stop there so I can get into what the Holy Spirit showed me.  As I was reading I kept going back to whet so I looked it up and the definition says to sharpen by rubbing on or with something, to make keen or more acute.  I went back and saw where it says them and it was revealed to me that them is your heart and mind. So, we are to sharpen, rub together our hearts and minds so they will pentrate (affect deeply the senses).  Why? The word says to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and we will have His blessings.  It takes us rubbing our hearts and minds together to have a deep recognition of who God is.  His plans for us are good and not evil, it's for a hope and a future.  Friend, that is the truth!  In this hour we live in we must continually stay sharp and alert.  It's not so we can keep it to ourselves.  If you read the rest of verse 7 it says so that we can teach and impress it upon our children.  If ever we need to take heed to a few verses in Gods word it is now.  As I look around I see so many people (adults and children) who are walking in the darkness.  They have no idea how to combat the enemy so the enemy is having a hay day seeking whom he may devour.   I want to encourage you to whet your mind and your heart and pass on the goodness of God in your own life. Thank you for reading and may God bless you richly.  Phyllis~
