Deeper Revelation

A few months ago I started praying that God give me a deeper revelation of His word. I know scripture and have had revelation to a certain degree, but I want to know the meaning behind what God has said. I read the gospels of Matthew, Mark , Luke and John and as we know Jesus spoke in parables to the people but then took his disciples aside and explained to them the meaning of those parables. I want to share with you what the Holy Spirit revealed to me in one of the gospels. In John 13:1-17 this is where Jesus and his disciples were going to share the Last Supper. How many times in the ministry did Jesus deny his flesh and his feelings for the sake of others. Jesus said He only did what he saw the Father doing. In this instance it says "Having loved his own who were in the world he now showed them the full extent of his love. The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus. Jesus "knew" that the Father had put all things under his power, and the he had come from God and that he was returning to God. Let's stop there for a second and see that Jesus was so confident of who He was and who he put his trust in, God the Father, that he was willing to once again put his flesh aside to share this meal with the ones closest to him knowing that in just a few hours they would run, hide, deny and even betray him. Let's go on now. It says so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. Talk about O My Gosh!! This is where the Holy Spirit revealed to me the deeper meaning of these verses. Jesus The Son Of God who knew what was going to happen in the brief hours ahead took off his outer clothing (laid down his flesh) and dried the feet of the disciples with the towel wrapped around his waist, remember the Full Armor the belt of truth?? Jesus took the truth of who he was and applied it to the feet of his own. Then Jesus said as I have done you are to do to others, lay down your flesh and administer the truth to others. We are to humble ourselves as believers of Jesus Christ and administer the truth to those we come in contact with from day to day. For so long we have wanted to be the ones on the receiving end give me this, give me that, but clearly in these verses Jesus was giving the disciples instruction on how to lay the flesh down and give out the truth. Also, Jesus told them they wouldn't understand right then why he was doing this but that they would come to the full understanding soon. Indeed they did and they also went out and did exactly what Jesus did if you continue to read. This is an exciting hour that we live in. Growing up I was taught that if we got out of here (this earth) by crawling on our bellies into heaven we would be lucky but that's not the truth. We are to wash others feet that we come into contact with the truth. The truth is that we are to lay down this flesh and be confident in the one true God Jehovah that is backing us 100% and to know that we are more than conquerors. I want to encourage you to read John 13 and allow the Holy Spirit reveal to you a profound truth. Jesus never once tried to defend himself, because He knew who he was, and who he belonged to and why he was sent here. We need to have that same kind of enlightenment. God Bless You!!
